Sony $100 ‘PlayStation Vita TV’ Micro-Console

Sony has announced the PlayStation Vita TV at the Tokyo Games Show. The tiny console connects with a standard PS3 DualShock controller and lets you play PS Vita games on your TV.

Sony also announced its going to have lots of great games when it launches November 14th in Japan. No word on global release dates yet. The PS Vita TV will serve as a PS4 streaming station, allowing you to hook up your PS4 to one TV and stream its games through the PS Vita TV to another television (1080i is the highest resolution output on the device.)

The PS Vita TV will cost 9,954 yen, or about $100, at launch. This makes it a much cheaper solution than the portable PS Vita or its older cousin the PS3.

Jony Ive Creates Solid Gold EarPods for (RED) Charity Auction

Apple’s senior vice president of design, Jony Ive ,has contributed to an auction celebrating “masterworks of design and innovation” to benefit Bono’s Project (RED) charity.

Ive worked with designer Marc Newson to curate and in some cases customize a number of items including a set of 18k solid rose gold Apple EarPods, pictured at right, and a customized magnum of Dom Perignon 1966 with a custom red label.

Galaxy Gear Introduced as Companion to Note 3

The new smartwatch was unveiled along with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3, a next generation of the company’s  “phablet” device (larger than a standard phone, with features like a tablet).

The watch is expected to work as a companion to the Note 3. A 1.63-inch display allows you to check updates from your phone at a glance to your wrist, and use about 70 pre-loaded apps, mostly with gesture commands.

But what may be the best features allow you to initiate a phone call from the watch or take video or photos from a wristband camera both in conjunction with your smart phone.

Make Calls or Take Video

Using the watch’s S Voice feature activated by double-clicking a button on the side of the display lets you make a call or dictate a text message to your mobile device hands free.

The 1.9-megapixel camera on the wristband can take photos or short videos that can be stored temporarily with about 4 GB of storage on the watch or sent directly to your mobile device.

It’s not clear how wide the appeal will be for smartwatches.  Some predicted that it may be only people who are interested in smartwatches are the same people who bought a calculator watch a few decades ago when those were hot.

There are audio Books that you can listen to while you are driving or in the Gym and for a long time I was using serves called audible, But some time I wish I could listen to my emails or messages and even articles in the web and last year I found a clavier Heiden way 7n iOS called Speak Selection and its in the setting Manu under Accessibility . When you enable this option and select any text it well show up in the selection menu and when you click on Speak you’ll hear a voice reading for you.
